THE SADDLE DOC

Helping horses and riders with saddle challenges

Providing independent saddle fit assessments and specialist expertise in the WOW Saddles modular saddle system.

A poorly fitting saddle can cause discomfort, tension, or even injury — often long before you notice.

Fixing those problems later? It usually costs far more than ensuring the right saddle fit from the start.

That’s why a proper saddle fit matters.

I offer independent saddle fit assessments for any saddle — English, Western, and all other disciplines.

No brand ties, no sales — just honest saddle fit advice, tailored to you and your horse.

What happens in an assessment

Saddle fitting can feel overwhelming — but it doesn’t have to be.
I offer calm, pressure-free sessions focused on what’s best for you and your horse.

Horse Assessment
We assess your horse’s back — shape, muscle tone, and sensitivity — to understand their specific saddle fit needs.

Static Fit
We place the saddle on your horse while they’re standing and check the static saddle fit for balance, clearance, and contact.

Dynamic Fit
We observe the saddle in motion while you ride, evaluating how it performs during movement and how it affects your horse’s comfort and range of motion.

Next Steps
We’ll also discuss next steps that align with fit your saddle goals, your riding discipline, and your budget.

THE SADDLE DOC

In my journey as an equestrian, I’ve learned that ill-fitting saddles can cause significant damage to both horse and rider. Horses don’t act out for no reason – they’re often trying to express discomfort or pain caused by poor saddle fit. Every horse has a unique shape, and a saddle should reflect that individuality through proper fitting.

That’s why I want to help riders understand what to look for in a well fitted saddle and how to make informed choices that support their horse’s comfort, movement, and overall well-being.
